About this site
The creator of ShaunaKelly.com, Shauna Kelly, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 16, 2011 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
Shauna was a Word developer. She lived in Melbourne, Australia, and worked for clients all over the world. She alternately loved Word and hated Word, in roughly equal measure! “You can do all kinds of magical things with Word,” she said, “but it can be very annoying and frustrating, too.” She created this site to help people use Word rather than fight it.
Among users of Word, and especially among power users of Word (and even among members of the Word development team at Microsoft), Shauna was widely respected for her deep understanding of Word, her brilliance in exploiting its capabilities, and her generosity in sharing with others the insights and techniques that she developed for working with Word.
Microsoft awarded Shauna Kelly the Microsoft MVP award for Word each year 2002-2011.

Word Toolkit is the brainchild of Shauna Kelly. Shauna hoped that Word Toolkit would help all users make better use of Word. Tragically, she died at age 54, leaving the software unfinished. Shauna's friends and family and other interested parties then joined together to bring Shauna's vision to fruition.
Part of Word Toolkit, the Header Footer Boss, was ported to VBA and brought to completion by Bill Coan.
- You can download the Word Toolkit add-in for free from wordaddins.com.
- Additional of Shauna's tools may be ported and brought to completion in the future. If you would like to help with this effort, contact Bill Coan.
